Angels, Devils and Vampires: 1

Dawn was approaching and Integra was almost done with her mountain of paperwork. She sighed and rubbed her eyes. Just one more to go and she can finally get some sleep. She had been up all night trying to finish all these damn files and paperwork and she just had one more to go. She picked it up and read it carefully before signing it and placing it on her finished pile. After double checking to see if she had anymore of those papers from hell, she sighed and collapsed into her chair. She glanced at the clock and made a face. Alucard and Seras should be going to bed by now. Ah, forget them, she really needed some sleep.

The hairs on her neck suddenly went up and she perked her ears. For some reason, Integra felt a presence around her… and it wasn’t a good one. Slowly, she slipped her hand under her desk and felt around for the gun strapped to the bottom of it. Damn, it wasn’t there. She gritted her teeth with frustration, remembering that it got damaged a while ago and was being repaired. There weren’t any other weapons around her and she didn’t want to get up to get it. She sat back into her chair and folded her hands in her lap. Just keep calm… there’s nothing to be afraid of. She’s been though worse than this. She rubbed her temples furiously and growled. Stop acting like a child, Integra. Once she finally calmed down, someone had grabbed her mouth and blindfolded her.

She struggled against the strong hands, trying to scream and use her pens as miniature daggers to stab the attacker’s hands. He grunted and slapped the back of her head repeatedly. “Now stop that,” he growled. “You make a sound and your little vampire boyfriend is gonna eat me. We don’t want that, do we?” She made a face and bit his hand until she tasted blood in her mouth. He grimaced and tightened the grip on her mouth. “Fine, we’ll do it the hard way, you masculine bitch.” She felt something cold and hard strike the back of her neck and darkness swallowed her.

Meanwhile, Seras was shuffling down the hallway, rubbing her eyes and yawning. She knew she should be in bed by now, but she really, really had to go to the bathroom (that what she gets for drinking all those medical bags during dinner… idiot). Now that her bladder is empty, she can finally go to bed. Well, maybe she can stop by Integra’s office and see how she was doing. After all, she was up all night working on that paperwork. She’ll probably just stop by to give her some company and bid her goodnight.

She turned down the hallway and froze. There were two men standing by Integra’s office door, masked and dressed in black. They defiantly weren’t the Hellsing soldiers or one of Pip’s men, so she quickly hid in the darkness of the hallway. A third man walked out and was carrying something over his shoulder. Seras looked closely and forced herself not to gasp. It was Integra, wrists and mouth bounded with duct tape and her eyes were closed. Oh no, they were kidnapping her! She has to do something

“Hey you guys!” Seras yelled, running towards them as she summoned her blood arm. The three men turned and gasped.

“George, get her into the truck!” one of them shouted. The one named George nodded abruptly and ran down the hallway with Integra still in his arms. “Collin, back me up!” Seras growled and lunged at the two men. She slammed her fist into the one called Collin and wrapped her blood arm around the other’s neck. Collin crashed into the wall and moaned, leaving Seras to grab her other victim’s head and turned it abruptly. His neck snapped and he fell to the ground in a heap. Glancing at Collin, who was still moaning in pain, she turned and ran down the hallway and towards the kidnapper.

Collin groaned, holding his chest painfully and glancing at his partner. “J-Jack?” he said slowly crawling over to the dead man and shaking his shoulder. He didn’t respond and Collin’s eyes watered. He glared at the vampire and growled, “You killed him… you little bitch!” He leapt to his feet and began tugging out his pistol from his holster. He knew exactly where she was heading…

Seras burst open the door outside and shielded her eyes immediately. The sun was just coming up and already it was hurting her eyes. She had to hurry and kill the bastard for kidnapping her best friend. She found him, throwing Integra into the back of a van and running towards the driver’s seat. He saw her and froze in his tracks, mouth agape and shaking violently. “How dare you…” Seras growled, stomping towards the frightened man and baring her teeth. George backed up against the side of his van and began to choke on his own breath. Only a few more steps and he’ll be dead…

Pain suddenly erupted onto her body. Seras screamed and fell to her knees, hugging her chest and forcing herself to stay conscious. She painfully turned her head to see Collin, pointing a smoking gun at her and grinning evilly. Slowly, she pulled her hand away from her and looked at it. It was stained completely red with blood. She’d been shot… badly.

“Collin, you God damned idiot!” George screamed, still frozen in his tracks. “You can’t kill her! That wasn’t part of the plan!”

“That bitch killed Jack,” Collin sobbed as he shot Seras in the middle of her back. She cried out and collapsed to the ground, coughing up blood violently. “She deserves to die!”

“Cut it out,” George hissed, pulling the gun out of his partner’s hand and tossing it into the van. “Look, you’ve put up the seal, left them the note and we’ve got the girl. Let’s get the hell out of.-“

“INTEGRA!!” Seras screamed, crawling towards the van on her hands and knees. “WAKE UP, INTEGRA!! THEY’RE GOING TO KILL YOU!!” George panicked, grabbed his nightstick and struck her in the neck. She collapsed, but continued to crawl towards her friend in distress. She suddenly turned towards the mansion and screamed, “MASTER!! PIP!! THEY’RE TRYING TO KIDNAP INTEGRA!! SAVE HER!! SAVE HER!!” George struck her over and over with the nightstick all over her body, but she still continued her bloodcurdling screams of distress.

“Collin, do something,” George hissed, striking her wrist until it cracked, causing her screams to increase. Collin searched his jacket until he pulled out something: a shining silver stake. He raised it in the air and quickly shoved it into Seras’ back. Blood drizzled on his face as Seras screamed so horrifically, George slapped his hand over his ears and grimaced. Her cries died out and she fell to the ground, not moving. George glanced at Collin and glared at him. “I said weren’t going to kill her. Now our boss is going to kill us.”

“Who cares,” Collin growled, pushing past George and into the driver’s seat of the van. “Let’s go. We’ve probably caused enough commotion already.” He shut the door and started the ignition. He glanced at George and hissed, “Get in.”

George sighed. “Didn’t I say that in the first place?” he muttered under his breath, shoving Seras’ body with his boot and jumping into the van before it sped off.

Seras’s eyes fluttered open as she watched the van drive away, splattering her with dirty rain water and mud. “Integra,” she whimpered as loudly as possible. “Wake up… Master… Pip… where is everyone?” Her head dropped into a mud puddle and her world began to darken. “Pip… help me…”
